nyc

sometimes you have to go without them, for the sake of who you were before you were Mom, for reigniting adventure. it was a fast, furious trip with wonderful friends. sunny both days and Central Park in the fall is what i imagined. the city is electric, almost overwhelming. it was marvelous. we’d like to take the kids one day, show them the museum and the Statue of Liberty and, the Park. but this one was for us, and it did everything for us i hoped it would.

goodbye. hello.

goodbye Family Farm; goodbye Flip-Flop (we hope to see you next spring); goodbye Crocs; goodbye size 2 tees; goodbye size 5 jeans; goodbye Nutella from the jar; goodbye October and Halloween and love-of-all-things-pirate. hello holidays. hello to my favorite color (red) and Egg Nog in a pitcher in the fridge. hello almost-six-year-old and soon-there-after-three-year-old. Goodbye and Hello.
